INVITING, EDITING OR REMOVING SUBCONTRACTORS FROM YOUR PROJECT(S)
This feature has a number of major benefits:
- It allows you to invite entire Organisations to your Projects without having to invite people individually
- It allows you to outsource work such as verifying or completing inspections on the IMC
Inviting a Subcontractor
Inviting Subcontractors could not be easier. The prerequisite is that the Subcontractor has an Organisation with Employees on the system. You can then invite the Subcontractor to one or more Projects as follows:
- Log into the Inspection Management Console (IMC) and go the Organisations page. Click “EDIT” for the appropriate Organisation.
- Click “+ INVITE“
- Type the name of the Organisation you want to invite. It is important that you get the exact name the Subcontractor has used to name their Organisation on the system.
- You also need to select on behalf of whom you are inviting the Subcontractor. This is because it is possible for Subcontractors to invite other Subcontractors (if you allow them).
- Then select which Project(s) the Subcontractor should have access to.
- Next select whether the subcontractor should be able to invite other Subcontractors to your Project(s). This can be handy if you hire a main contractor who is working with various subcontractors that need access to your Project(s).
- Set the maximum Role level. If the Subcontractor is involved in approving or completing inspections on the IMC then this should be “Approver” otherwise make this “App User“.
Employees of invited Subcontractors must now accept their invitation via the Mobile App.
Editing or Removing a Subcontractor
Edit the Organisation to which the Subcontractor has been invited and click the “SUBCONTRACTORS” tab. Then click “EDIT” for the appropriate Subcontractor in the list. you can now edit which Projects the Subcontractor should have access to, whether they can invite others, and their maximum Role level.
To remove the Contactor from all your Projects, click “DELETE“.
