MANAGING INSPECTIONS
If you haven’t already done so, we recommend you read and follow the Quick Start Guide first.
As a business owner, employer or manager, you can manage tower inspections on a Project by Project basis, and within a specific Project on a Site by Site basis. To unlock this functionality you need to log into the Inspection Management Console (IMC) here, using the same username and password you used to create your account on the Mobile App (app). Alternatively you can also create an account directly on the IMC.
Once logged into the IMC you need to set up your Organisation by selecting “Organisation” from the menu and then click “+ CREATE“.
Fill in the form and as soon as you hit “SAVE“, you will see a series of tabs. Click on “PROJECTS” and “+ CREATE” to create a Project. Give the Project a name and decide whether or not to allow the app users to add sites to the project from their smartphone. If not, leave this switched off. The “Checklist Type” is explained below. You can leave it as is for now, as you can change this at any time.
After clicking “SAVE” click on “SITES” to add at least one Site by clicking “+ CREATE“.
Once you have added the Site, you may want to log out of the mobile app and back in again to connect to the new Organisation. You will see a “Projects” option on the Towers page, and you can now add new towers to the available Project and Site. In Addition, when adding towers to a Project, you will now also be asked to select on behalf of whom you have assembled the tower. All towers added to a Project will now appear in the Inspections page in the IMC.
Inviting staff
You are now ready to invite staff to your Organisation, so their inspections are automatically added to your Project(s). To do so, click “Organisations” in the main menu and click “EDIT“, to see the Organisation’s details. Click the “USERS” tab and “+ INVITE USERS“.
You can now invite your staff or freelancers to your Organisation. If you invite freelancers you must also indicate which Projects they should have access to. Employees have by default access to all your Projects.
You will also need to select which role level you want the Users to have. We recommend you start with “App User“, you can always change this later if required. More about User Roles here.
You can invite Users one by one or in bulk. To do this you need to create a CSV file (using for example Excel) with all the email addresses of the required users in the first column (column A in Excel). You can then upload this CSV file to invite all these users in one go.
Inspection modes
The system allows a wide variety of inspection scenarios to fit with the needs of your operations. You decide the level of scrutiny you want on a Project by Project basis. For example:
- App users must complete the checklist in the App which are then automatically approved. The inspections are centrally stored in the Management Console for audit purposes
- App user must complete the checklist in the App, but they then need to be centrally verified in the IMC
- App users only record the tower details and take (a) photograph(s), the checklist is then completed in the IMC
This gives you the option to decide whether you want to, for example:
- Allow staff to assemble a tower, and providing they complete an inspection, use it
- Allow staff to assemble a tower, and use it, but have someone else check the inspection (remotely) and inform the user when there is an issue
- Allow staff to assemble a tower, have someone else inspect the tower (remotely) and inform the user when they can start using it
To select a inspection mode for a specific Project, go to “Projects” in the main menu and click “EDIT” for the required Project. Now change the “Checklist Type” to any of the below:
- “In app checklist (automatically approve)” for scenario 1 above – more details here.
- “In app checklist (approve in console)” for scenario 2 above – more details here.
- “Checklist in console” for scenario 3 above – more details here.
Make sure you click “SAVE” to save your changes.
Approving Inspections
Unless you have selected inspection scenario 1, you will need to use the IMC to approve or complete inspections. To do so, go to the Inspections page, where you will see all live tower inspections. Inspection that are awaiting approval are clearly marked. Click on “EDIT” to see the Tower Details. Click on the “INSPECTION DETAIL” tab to complete the inspection and/or to approve (or reject it) depending on your selected inspection mode. More information about approving and rejecting inspection can be found here.
Where to go next?
A lot more detail about the above functionality and information about other functionality can be found in the User Manual section of this website.
